Halo's Cauldron
Let me introduce myself
I am essentially driven by shapes, lines, and silhouettes in a combined analogue and digital composition. Each hue is chosen to evoke a sense of magic. Shades call to you with the dark allure of the gothic, and where to find beauty in the interplay of darkness and light.
My work is characterized as authentic and diverse with a depth in social importance and a touch of magic and mystery. I brew universal and timeless stories with messages hidden in its symbolism and storytelling. I invite you to a landscape of interconnectedness - a celebration of the magic that binds us. Use this magical compass to embark on your journey.
A little history on Halo's Cauldron
I'm Hanna Louise, aka Halo's Cauldron, a graphic illustrator drawing from the inexhaustible well of history and cultures that have shaped our world. Based in the vibrant city of Groningen (the Netherlands), I listen to the whispers of nature, the echoes of folklore & mythology and the symphonies of fantasy & science fiction. I move on the ancient melody of spiritual practices and the eternal dance of the sacred feminine, masculine and beyond. My studio is a bridge between the seen and unseen, where the fantastical and the familiar embrace.

'Halo' entered my life when my beloved mother shed her light on the name - it clicked with me immediately. For years, I have wondered how to make the name a whole. Now, the cauldron emphasis what I do, create and share.
See more about it in my first blog 'The Story Behind Halo's Cauldron'. Past, present, future
Creating started before I could speak. On the easel, sheet after sheet of paper was covered in plaster. The power of my voice also brought writing. I always have felt much more at home in the world of imagination and waited to be called on my magical quest. Now, I realize that I always carry this magic and this world with me. In addition, I have a spiritual background where a different kind of magick is practiced and offers me the wisdom to navigate through earthly life. For me, creating is a kind of passionate meditation. This calling whispered to me. I listened, and so I graduated my Art & Design studies and continued into the specializations illustration and graphic design at Minerva Art Academy.

Right now, I am working on my graduation project in my atmospheric lit gothic witchy studio apartment on the 3rd floor looking over the city lights, music pumping through the speaker while I am drawing, reading or writing at my desk. I am the life of the party at metal and folk concerts/festivals, sparkling in the night life, and a lover of cats, Netflix and chill, and a coffee and doritos addict for sure.
See more about my graduation porject in my triple blog posts 'Metal Music x Goddess Musings'.
When I start my home-based studio, I dream of a combination of taking on commissions and selling my own work. The kind of products and projects you will see more of in the future are...
• album/book covers
• lay-out designs & typography
• (picture) book illustrations
• editorial/spot illustrations
• (gig) posters/flyers
• package designs
• (oracle/game) card deck designs
• merch/apparel designs
• promotional/branding designs
• mural illustrations (mural stickers)
...and hopefully, I will become an author of my own fiction novel and oracle card deck myself!
Hopefully, I brew stories that enlighten you!
Enjoy your stay!
